Our client wanted a "Hobbit" playhouse for their children. As digging a subterranean house would exceed our budget by several orders of magnitude, we chose to take the idea of privacy and camouflage and apply it to rectilinear volumes. I designed and built the playhouse with an architecture school classmate, Chase Hearn.
